CALM Buoy Remote Monitoring and Control Equipment

Eaton's Ocean Technical Systems is a leading supplier of CALM buoy remote monitoring and control equipment, ranging from mooring hawser tension monitoring and remote subsea PLEM valve control to SIL rated solutions for pressure surge detection and emergency shutdown.

Our DGPS-based OSPREY Tanker Berthing System is the industry's first choice for portable tanker berthing aids, providing the pilot with accurate speed, bearing and distance of approach to its berth.

The OMEGA Mooring Integrity System provides a reliable solution for detecting movement or failure to one or more mooring lines to a FPSO or CALM buoy. Mooring line angle/tension is included with this rugged sensor, which is suitable for permanent subsea installation.

Additionally, our SIL-rated ODIN ultra-high availability telemetry system is designed for use with semi submersible concurrent drilling/work over operations.

Eaton's Ocean Technical Systems manufactures its own range of low power duplicated remote telemetry units (RTU), providing SIL2 and SIL3 solutions, which communicate with either the customer's own customized HMI operator environment or with third party SCADA and DCS control systems.

OTS also manufactures a range of hermetically-sealed shear-pin load cells and custom chafe chain load links for mooring hawser LOAD MONITORING supplied separately or within a monitoring system.
