DISTRIBUTION AUTOMATION & ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Increasingly, utilities are also looking at products to manage distribution system voltages in order to reduce demand and energy consumption and achieve significant energy savings.

Conservation voltage reduction (CVR) strategies reduce demand and energy consumption while maintaining customer voltage power quality per established standards.

The operational benefits are improvements in energy efficiency and system voltages in the distribution system.

The business benefits are a greater percentage of energy delivered to paying customers, deferment in investment in peaking generation plants and charges, and a reduction in the environmental impact of energy delivery.

3-PHASE MONITORING

Supports three-phase voltage current, power factor and harmonics monitoring points.

Allows utilities to monitor and assess power quality for every utility customer and to enable automation applications.

DNP MASTER Works with third party DNP sensors such as Eaton's Grid Advisor optical sensor which has a voltage and current accuracy of +/- 0.5% with no loss of accuracy or precision over the entire measurement and temperature range
CONTROL ALGORITHMS

Every control is a robust, feature-rich device that can be deployed as a stand-alone operating control, or a remote communicating device with local  communications failsafe settings.

Control algorithms include Time, Temperature, Voltage, Current, Kvar, SCADA Override and Remote operation.

DISTRIBUTED GENERATION

As distribution generation (DG) is increasing, utilities need controls that can operate correctly based on power flow and the generation source.

The CBC-8000 control has a number of algorithms to address the challenging conditions distributed generation causes.

Co-Generation mode prevents misoperations when DG is active.

SITE-READY

The CBC-8000 control is designed to easily integrate a variety of communication radios and modems.

Utilities can purchase the CBC-8000 control radio-ready or with a utility radio installed at the factory.

The equipment can be preprogrammed at the factory with your utility's settings file for the ultimate in installation simplicity.

CONFIGURATION The CBC-8000 control is a highly configurable control that can be programmed using ProView NXG configuration software, configured using the control front panel, or by Eaton’s Yukon Fleet Management application.
FLEET MANAGEMENT

IED manager suite (IMS) software fully supports both the CBC-8000 capacitor bank control and the CL-7 voltage regulator control and is a perfect solution for utilities needing to manage firmware, settings and user access.

IMS software improves productivity by automating processes that were previously performed by sending technicians to the field.

Utilities can send and update files and perform audit logging of who accesses and modifies settings or installs firmware
