The data layer ensures that whether the data you have is from Eaton or other manufacturers’ devices, we can process it through our platform to leverage our AI and machine learning algorithms for insights or pass it through securely to platforms or applications you already have deployed. The Brightlayer digital platform: Core components drive enablement

Within the Brightlayer digital platform, we have assembled code sets, data science algorithms, user experience development toolkits and security protocols that can be leveraged for a standardized approach to digital solution delivery. Brightlayer helps you identify and solve your most complicated power management challenges by integrating connectivity, design, data science and cybersecurity.

Cloud connectivity
Experience data pushed to the cloud securely and with confidence. Brightlayer works with Microsoft Azure, SDK and other cloud connectors to carry out complex analyses in the cloud, virtually in real-time. Transport and message-level security are cybersecurity certified.
User experience
Standardize visual tools and design themes. Brightlayer enables consistent typography, icons and pre-styled custom components to help speed application development. Encapsulated web code, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript, is all open source and available through Eaton’s GitHub repository.
Data science and analytics
Uncover opportunities with advanced data science. Brightlayer’s hardware-neutral power genome algorithms estimate hard-to-measure process variables to create insights that inform power management opportunities.
Edge enablement
Access millions of data points at the edge of computing. Brightlayer quickly gathers data at the consumption point to calculate the core analytics that increase speed and dramatically reduce latency—leading to faster response times in applications that rely on real-time information.
Cybersecurity
Brightlayer is based on the foundation of a secure-by-design model supported by our Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. Our Secure Development Lifecycle contributes to platform cybersecurity by application of commonly accepted industry technical standards and incorporating security requirements and best practices into the design of the product.
