GearGard provides pre-programmed alarms based on IEEE C37.20.1 standards and customizable warnings to alert users when inspection is needed. Notifications can be sent via phone, email, or pager. Alarms are pre-programmed to alert users to conditions that are outside the conditions that switchgear was designed. Warnings are user programmable to allow for sensitivity adjustments for varying environments.

GearGard actively controls heaters to prevent condensation, provides a history of the operating environment for NFPA 70B compliance, and helps reduce the likelihood of environmental damage. Data is retained in the PXG1000 for up to 3 years to allow for easy NFPA 70B operating environment condition levels for Electrical Maintenance Programs.
It comes installed from the factory or done in the aftermarket by our EESS teams.

Eaton’s GearGard for low-voltage switchgear allows users to stay aware of any potential harmful environmental exposure during the lifetime of the switchgear. Utilizing a variety of sensors in tested locations, GearGard will alert users to programmable warnings that can be customized on site, and pre-set alarms which are defined by IEEE C37.20.1 design ratings.
