The Eaton 9PX is a proven, best-in-class online double-conversion rackmount/tower UPS. The 9PX UPS features ABM technology, which extends battery service life up to 50 percent, and offers flexibility in battery types with nine models offering lithium-ion batteries. Select 9PX UPS models are bundled with the Eaton Gigabit Network card, the first in the industry to comply with both UL and IEC cybersecurity standards. To complete your backup power solution, pair your 9PX with the Brightlayer Data Centers suite for seamless management of your connected equipment.

    The 9PX UPS offers power ratings from 700VA to 11kVA.

    The 9PX UPS is available as a rack/tower UPS, which means it can be mounted in a server rack or as a tower UPS using mounting feet.

    Common applications include datacenter, education, IT, industrial automation, commercial, financial and healthcare networking components. The 9PX UPS provides sine wave output, complete battery backup and power protection for mission-critical IT installations, edge networks and other advanced network applications.

    The 9PX offers up to 4 external battery modules (EBMs) for extended runtime.

    Valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries have long been the industry standard choice for UPS batteries. Lithium-ion batteries have a longer life span, smaller footprint and a faster recharge time compared to VRLA batteries.     Eaton utilizes a combination of Lithium-ion (LiFePO4) chemistry that creates a stable and safe battery for UPS applications. This type of chemistry does not create oxygen as an off-put should there be a thermal event, eliminating the harsh igniting potential of some lithium-ion battery chemistries

    Advanced Battery Management (ABM) is Eaton’s proven 30-day, three-stage charging and monitoring technology that keeps batteries cool and stretches their lifetime by up to 50 percent. In addition, the ABM cycle tests batteries proactively, giving you advanced audible and remote alerts of risks to battery health. ABM is not available for lithium-ion batteries.

    Online double conversion is one of the main UPS topologies. Online UPSs provide the highest level of protection by isolating equipment from raw utility power by converting power from AC to DC and back to AC. Unlike other topologies, this double conversion method provides zero transfer time to battery for sensitive equipment. The online double conversion UPS topology is best applied to mission-critical equipment and locations where utility power is poor or highly unreliable.

    Yes, you can monitor your Eaton UPS with any UPS or facility management software that supports the industry standard Management Information Base (MIB, RFC 1628) as long as the optional connectivity card is installed.
